Romantic Getaway and Farm Stay Testimonials
From: Murtaza and Jenny-Auckland |
Thank you for such a wonderful weekend getaway. A very well designed and located retreat amongst natures best. We really got to fully relax and unwind and will definitely be back soon.
Your hospitality has been the warmest we've encountered on any of our weekend trips - and we've been to many across NZ. Thank you so much. |

The only regret we had with the stay at this lovely cottage by the waterfall is that we had too little time. It was a very short stay but Devon made great efforts to give us the genuine NZ farm experience.
The cottage definitely has lived up to the description and the pictures we have seen in front of our computers but the real experience is beyond any word and description. I look forward to going back and will definitely send all my friends and relatives visiting Auckland to knock on their doors….Thanks, Devon, family and the lovely animals, you certainly have made our short stay unforgettable, even our 3-year old Kelson keeps telling people he has seen chickens “fighting (playing) with dogs” in the farm |

To Devon, Gary, Poppa and family Thanks for welcoming Jo and I to your lovely cottage. It was a great way to spend the night before the big day. Even though I was just 10 minutes away from home I felt like I was miles away. It just goes to prove that you don't have to travel for miles to have a break away from it all! It was so peaceful and relaxing. Thanks for taking pics and making me feel a bit like a supermodel on the day. Sandra Grace | |

"All the animals there are lavely....it is like a warld of wanderland. Japan now is season of colored leaves, it is getting cooler and cooler, but we are working cheerfully to see you again." Japanese guest meets Wainui Alpaca resident |
From Christine - Auckland |
...thanks so much Devon & family! There's nothing better than a spell of fresh air in the country to boost body and soul. The little ones ( canine babes) were so at home they thought they owned the place.... Have slept well, eaten well, soaked up the sun and the "P & Q" ( peace & quiet) and look forward to coming back. Big thankyou |
From Gerri Steve & Olivia- Australia |
....... we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Waterfall Lodge and really appreciated the personal effort you went to, to make sure that our stay with baby Olivia was very comfortable. We found the cottage simple and elegant with everything that we needed. The pizza oven was definitely a highlight! The ability to stroll around the farm and experience the tranquil countryside was wonderful and really allowed us to unwind. Livvy is only very young, but she really enjoyed the walk and the farm animals too :) We don't come to Auckland on holidays often but would love to visit again one day. We've meanwhile recommended your farmstay to our friends. Thank you again for letting us stay in your lovely cottage |
